Saudi eVisa Requirements: The Complete Document Checklist

Saudi visa applications require accurate passport details, a suitable photograph and correctly completed application information. Requirements can vary by visa type and nationality, so applicants should check the applicable route before submitting.

Passport Rules

Your passport should generally have at least 6 months of validity remaining when entering Saudi Arabia. It should also be in good condition, with clear personal details and no significant damage. Keep sufficient blank pages available for immigration stamps where required.

If you hold dual nationality, use the same passport for your application and travel. The passport presented at the Saudi border should match the passport details on your visa.

Photo Specifications

Photo Size

Upload a recent passport-style photograph that meets the Saudi visa application's required digital specifications. The image should be clear, properly framed and suitable for identification.

Background

Use a plain white or light background with even lighting. Avoid shadows, patterns or objects appearing behind your head.

Glasses & Head Coverings

Glasses should generally be removed unless they are medically necessary. Your full face should remain clearly visible. Head coverings may be acceptable for religious reasons, provided they do not obscure the facial features.

Common Photo Rejections

Photos can be rejected because of poor lighting, blurred images, incorrect framing, dark or unsuitable backgrounds, facial obstruction, heavy editing or outdated photographs. Make sure your face is clearly visible before uploading.

The Application Form: Every Field Explained

The Saudi visa application form requires information such as your full name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, contact details, travel information and other personal details. Enter the information exactly as it appears on your passport.

Pay particular attention to the passport number, name order, date of birth and passport expiry date. A typo or mismatch can delay processing or cause an application problem.

What You Do Not Need

For a standard Saudi tourist eVisa application, you generally do not need to provide a bank statement simply to demonstrate your finances. A hotel booking or invitation letter is also not normally part of the standard tourist eVisa document set.

However, requirements can differ for sponsored visits, business visas, Umrah routes and specific nationalities, so do not assume that the same documents apply to every Saudi visa.

Requirements for Children

Children and infants travelling to Saudi Arabia may require their own visa, depending on their nationality and travel route. Parents or guardians should provide the child's correct passport information and photograph when applying.
